To empower at-risk children, families, and communities and
strengthen the people who serve them through collaboration,
assistance, research, and education.
Catalyst for CARE works to identify and fill
the gaps in services available to kids in foster care, ensuring
that every child has the resources a caring parent would provide.
We do this through:
|
. Funding and facilitating partnerships for improved
services for children
. Advocacy and information sharing network
. Information dissemination on best practices in foster
care
. Support services for youth who are aging out of foster
care and transitioning to independent adulthood. Services include:
o Excellence in Education college scholarships for foster youth
o Lifeline - emergency assistance
o LINC (Leveraging, Impacting, Networking, Championing) mentoring
program
o Celebration
of Excellence
o Information and referral
. Referral
Central - online searchable database of services for children
and families
. Outcome tracking for youth aging out of foster care
. Subject matter identification
. Facilitating relationships between researchers and
subjects
. Professional Development
