Full and Part time Psychiatrist (s) - Macon Behavioral Health System

Macon Behavioral Health System is seeking full and part time Psychiatrist(s) who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in child/adolescent Psychiatry and Licensed in the State of Georgia. Macon Behavioral Health is a 120-bed facility with a multidisciplinary team specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents ages 7-17 with a behavioral health diagnosis. This new opportunity can be structured as either a partnership where the psychiatrist would be salaried as a member of the hospital team and or an outpatient practice within the facility or it can be a part-time position with a private practitioner.

Board Certified in Psychiatry and Licensed in the State of Georgia. Established record of leadership skill and organizational ability along with an excellent reputation as a clinician. Must be able to communicate well with multiple disciplinary approaches. Membership in the American Psychiatric Association. Must possess five years minimum experience in the treatment of children and adolescents.

The Psychiatrist is a key member of the leadership and clinical team. As such, the Psychiatrist is expected to establish and maintain a close working relationship with the Medical Director and CEO, working actively and creatively to achieve an optimum balance of clinical and fiscal success. The Psychiatrist shall participate in regular leadership and clinical meetings with the Medical Director and CEO along with other key management staff. The Psychiatrist shall be available and helpful in the solution of emergent administrative problems involving clinical considerations.

The Psychiatrist is specifically responsible for improving clinical outcome and treatment effectiveness and increasing overall cost-effectiveness of care.

Job Summary of Child Care Workers :

Child Care Workers: Perform direct patient care in residential setting to include supervising clients in treatment, recreation, educational settings, and other activities of daily living. Ability to immediately identify client needs. Implement interventions identified for each client on master treatment plan; establish rapport in an open, trusting, and clinically therapeutic boundary limit. Guard clients against abuse and make proper notification. Perform behavioral interventions according to hospital procedures. Follow all levels of confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities of Charge Nurse-PRTF Program (ALL Shifts)

Supervises, delegates, and ensures the delivery of quality, general and psychiatric nursing care to children and adolescent hospitalized for the treatment of psychiatric, emotional disorders, and addictive diseases. Oversee the assigned shift, appropriately staffing the unit according to policy.

·   Directly supervises the activities of the assigned shift, assigns duties to staff in accordance with the needs of the facility and available staff.

·  Assess health needs of the clients served and respond appropriately to crisis situation. Supervise crisis interventions, provide support and guidance to direct care staff in debriefing.

Part Time Juvenile Tracker - Southwest Key Program

Southwest Key Program, Inc. ("SWK") is a private, non-profit organization providing community-based services to at-risk youth in various program formats. Our Youth Tracking Services Program in Conyers, GA is seeking to fill the position of Part Time Juvenile Tracker.

The Youth Tracking Services program serves male and female court involved youth. The program was designed on the premise that an effective community-based supervision program must provide structured risk control activities, designed to protect the community, as well as rehabilitative activities that promote pro-social contacts and positively, structured time for each youth participant. Foundational to the program is the tracking component, which provides a proven method of surveillance in the community. Clients must report their whereabouts in the community at all times. It is the client's responsibility to be in a location in which he/she can be found by the tracker on duty. A minimum of five, face-to-face visits per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year with the tracker is required of each client. 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Responsible for completing the five face to face daily contacts required in our contract with the funding source
  • Assist in coordinating youth activities and groups
  • Participates in youths daily program activities, i.e., groups, recreation, and transportation, as necessary
  • May provide youth advocacy in the areas of health, education, vocation, legal and family work
  • Creates and leads activity programs for individual youths and groups of youths
  • Enters data in both DJJ JTS system and SWKey Social Solutions.
  • Provides crisis intervention and administers first aid when necessary
  • Subject to work holidays, weekends and nights as needed
  • Manage, organize and implement file systems.
  • Maintain current information for billing, data collection, regional accounts, petty cash and budget.

REQUIREMENTS

Part time Trackers are required to have a high school diploma or GED plus one year working with troubled youth.
